Gee & Co Ltd provide a comprehensive consultancy service for all historical, period & listed buildings. Unlike other conservation professionals our advise is based firmly on our time served practical knowledge as trained stonemasons and specialist conservation practitioners with many years experience of contracting in the sector both in the UK and Europe respectively. Our practical experience is uniquely combined with the full membership accreditation of the internationally regarded IHBC and there approved conservation
practitioners register HESPR and as a technical adviser for SPAB.

We believe it is imperative that conservation building advise should be provided from the basis of both technical conservation academia in conjunction with empirical hands on understanding of traditional crafts and vernacular materials in order to give advise based on actual practical learnt experience.

Our advisory work can be designed to suite a projects specific needs most commonly consisting of current condition reports, pre purchase / post purchase surveys,
specifications & programs of repair. An early informed diagnosis of a historic building can be an invaluable blueprint for potential new or existing owners to understand the buildings initial design, current condition & what may be required for repair or not.

​The approach and philosophy is to primarily retain and sensitively conserve historical fabric where possible in line with the principles of the ‘ Institution of Historic Building Conservation’ & the ‘Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.
